Ancient, Authentic, Vibrant — CCC Year of the Dragon Lunar New Year Gala Show
Dragon has always been the most mysterious and powerful symbol among Asian countries. The zodiac year of the Dragon always draw extra attention among the twelve zodiac animals.
Chinese Community Center was founded in 1973, this is its 50th Lunar New Year show. This year’s program show will include what expected such as excellent Chinese Kungfu, Dragon dance, Elegant traditional Fan and Long Sleeve dance, upscale Chorus and signature Tibetan dance, The elegant Peking Opera performer also will be in singing a duet with a classical Opera singer singing in Italian.
Delicious Asian food, bubble tea will full-fill one’s taste buds; On site traditional calligraphy writing, paper cutting for wall decorations will be accompanied by an authentic Yang Liu Qing Lunar New Year Art exhibition during intermission. Lucky draw is included during the show with worth $500 restaurants vouchers and gifts are waiting for those lucky ones.

Time: 5:30-8pm (free event) New Year’s painting (Chinese:年画) emerged in Song Dynasty (960-1279) and took shaped and prevailed in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is a delighted art form among Chinese people especially in countryside in the history and usually are pasted on doors, windows and walls as decorations during the Spring Festival to wish a propitious year.
