Location: Hilton Garden Troy

The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) will host its 2026 Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, October 20, at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy. This year’s theme, “Lead by Your Light: Embody. Empower. Elevate.”, features keynote speaker Jen Aks, TEDx speaker, bestselling author and creator of The Power of Gesture®. There will also be a special recognition of Elizabeth Miller Guthier’s 30-year WERC anniversary and Marjorie Adams’ 25-year WERC anniversary.  The event brings together more than 300 business and community leaders, supporters and friends to connect, be inspired and support WERC’s mission of helping women build pathways to economic independence.

WERC is a not-for-profit organization that works to advance women’s success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence. Since 1988, WERC has provided quality workforce development services to more than 10,000 women from the New York State Capital Region who have lost their source of income due to the death, divorce, separation, disability, or dislocation of a spouse or who are single mothers.
