A live audience is always welcome and there are plenty of seats. You can meet the guests in person and learn more about their projects or even get involved yourself.

The Addams Family at SLOC

Your favorite creepy and kooky family is LIVE, on stage, in this musical comedy about love, family, honesty and growing up.  The Addams are put to the test when their beloved daughter, Wednesday, falls in love with a “normal” boy and invites his family to dinner! “One Normal Night” is all she asks for, BUT the evening turns out to be anything but!

Story Circle Announces New Season!

Kate Dudding, Producer & Storyteller

            Listening to stories of hope – what a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Come hear many types of hope-filled stories – personal and historical stories as well as folktales from around the world – told by Fran Berger, Betty Cassidy, Kate Danaher, Alden (Joe) Doolittle, Marni Gillard, Linda McKenney, Claire Nolan, Nancy Marie Payne and Sandy Schuman.

• Organization: Story Circle at Proctors
• Mission: At every Story Circle show, superb performers tell rarely heard contemporary and traditional stories celebrating the human spirit. You will find that these shows are shared experiences between the audience and the performer, combining the intensity of a solo performance with the intimacy of a face-to-face conversation. Over 2,600 people have enjoyed our shows at Proctors.

Beekman 1802 Harvest Fest in Sharon Springs!

Empire State Aerosciences Museum Events

          The viewers will learn about the recent and upcoming happenings at the museum, including erection of the Concorde replica, the week-long Aviation STEM Camp, and proposed redevelopment of the museum.

Segment SIX

35^th Anniversary — Goldie’s History and More

Janice Walz, Proctors Historical Committee

          Goldie is the name that has been designated to identify their organ at the Mainstage. There are monthly organ concerts held at Proctors performed by a number of professional organists.

            Carl Hackert has been playing the theater organ since soon after it was installed at Proctors in the early 1980s. In those days, Proctors was undergoing a renovation and Dennis Madden, then-executive director, wanted an organ for the house.

            Proctors had opened in 1926 and had had a pipe organ to accompany vaudeville shows, silent films, stage productions and background music at intermissions. On a trip to Minneapolis, Madden heard Goldie, which was at the time installed at Claude Newman’s mansion. “Dennis loved organ and when he heard Goldie, he fell in love with it and knew he had to have it,”

            Hackert said. Goldie had been built in 1931 for the Paramount Theater in Aurora, Illinois, and was so named because she had an all-gold finish.
