Kitchen Jazz features vocals and instrumentals from Cole Porter, through jazz standards, to Joni Mitchell. Vocalists Richard Genest and Sylvie Briber are backed up by Dave Kitchen, guitar, Jim Connelly, bass, and Norm Ainslie, drums.

Dave Kitchen, who gave the band its name, has been playing for many years in the Capital District, often with Jim Connelly. Norm Ainslie, former hand drummer, rounds out the instrumental trio. A wide variety of vocals are handled by Richard Genest, founding member of the group, and Sylvie Briber, well known Schenectady singer. Kitchen Jazz continues to cook up a tasty offering of familiar tunes around the Stockade District and greater Schenectady.

We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
