Lois Bena, Guild member / Committee Memer
Patricia Terry, Guild member/ Former Vets Quilt Project Chair
Marcia Dougherty, Guild Member/ Raffle Quilt Maker
This quilt show is the guild’s only fundraiser, which supports the guilds programming and community service projects. The guild makes comfort quilts for inpatient veterans at the Albany VA Hospital and the Fisher House, quilts for children being served by local service organizations, and pet beds for shelters and pet adoption events.
The Quilter’s United in Learning Together of Schenectady (QUILTS) quilt guild is hosting the 18th biannual Autumn Inspirations Quilt Show. Hundreds of quilts made by members will be on display. In addition, there will be vendors, demonstrations, charity quilt displays, a quilters boutique sale, a raffle quilt, and door prizes. Partial proceeds of the raffle quilt will benefit Northern Rivers Family Services.
The purpose of this group shall be to learn about quilting, to promote the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the art of quilt making, to share quilting information and education with its members and the community. The Guild is organized for educational purposes as specified in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
