Revitalization and historical preservation of the Mount Ida Community in Troy New York.
We see our mission through by assuming the work of restoring the historic Free Church of the Ascension at 548 Congress St. as a community and art center. MIPA is 100% volunteer run.  Through donations, volunteer efforts, and small grants we’ve opened the building for use.  We host our local food pantry in our community hall. We’ve converted our kitchen into an incubator commercial kitchen, and host food entrepreneurs such as Primo Botanica Chocolate.  The newly opened sanctuary is beginning to create an artist run program of markets, banquets, and performances of all kinds.
