We start filming at 10 am at Proctors Underground on Tuesday. A live audience is always welcome and there are plenty of seats. Join us for lots of dancing & entertainment…Natalia O’Connor & Florin Vlad (renowned Int’l Ballroom Champions) will perform our showcase this month. They will be teaching our 45 min. free dance lesson…DON’T MISS THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY! Male & Female Dance Hosts. Great Music … No partner needed – dance hosts available …dancing for everyone! Waltz, Foxtrot, Salsa, Tango, Hustle, Rumba, Jive, Swing and Country music played throughout the night!

Florin and Natalia are the 2017 & 2016 US National Adult Finalists, 2015 USA Dance National Vice-Champions in Adult Standard, and 2014 USA Dance National U21 Champions. Among their best results is being a Semi-Finalist in the 2014 Under 21 World Championship, becoming Semi-Finalists of the 2015 German Open and the 2016 Dutch Open, Finalists of the RS 2016 Dutch Open (4th place), dancing in the Final of the 2015 World Cup in Wroclaw, Poland.

Florin and Natalia proudly represent team USA at national and international competitions! One of their main goals is to spread the love for ballroom dancing, which is an amazing combination of art and sport for all ages!

They will be performing a Slow Waltz at the SOS Dance on Sunday May 28th as well as demonstrating a few basic but fun steps of the Waltz at the free 45 min group class.

This dance is co-sponsored by Albany DanceSport and Singles Outreach.

NiskaDay – Calling all Heroes !

Guest: Joseph Rourke, Entertainment Co-Chair

NiskaDay is an all-day event benefiting Niskayuna Community Action Program. The day starts with a parade through Niskayuna and Ends with fireworks at Craig Elementary School. The event includes an information tent, craft tent, entertainment throughout the day including bands, rock wall climbing, pony rides, face painting, caracitures and Superheroes all free of charge (schedule on website and in Daily Gazette insert). There are also carnival rides for those more daring (purchase tickets or an all-day wristband).

Carnival Rides and Food venues charge, but all entertainment is free as well as information tent. There is also a craft tent with wares for sale.

N-CAP is an all-volunteer, community coalition whose mission is to improve the quality of life for all those living, working or learning in the Town or School District of Niskayuna with an emphasis on substance abuse prevention by youth.

We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
