  • Books Sandwiched In at Noon: “Home Faire” reviewed by Melinda Perrin, local author and poet. Story of an immigrant family.
  • Theatre offers Reading of New Play “Southern Haunt” at 7:30 pm at U Albany Performing Arts Center – uptown campus. No tickets required.

Apr 3 (Tues)

  • Turtle Time 2:00 pm at 195 New Karner Road – Discovery Center. All ages.
  • Filming of Sch’dy Today featuring the Art d’echo Trio performing on our stage. Meet a fantastic cake decorator, a guest who empowers women, final tax update and learn about Proctors decorative mural and plaster.

Apr 4 (Wed)

  • Movies at Noon – Reels presents Despicable Me 3 at Main Branch of the Sch’dy Public Library.
  • Agents of Discovery App Hike – Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center from 1 – 2:30 pm – 195 New Karner road
  • AAA Expo at the Double Tree by Hilton on Nott Terrace. From noon to 4 pm. Free battery tests, child safety seat inspections.

Apr 5 (Thurs)

  • Turtle Time 2:00 pm at 195 New Karner Road – Discovery Center. All ages.
  • Wild & Wacky Woodcock Walk from 7-8:30 pm at the Pine Bush Discovery Center. Short hike.

Apr 6 (Fri)

  • Agents of Discovery App Hike – Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center from 1 – 2:30 pm – 195 New Karner road

  • The Nellies performing. Emmanuel Friedens Concert Series at 3 pm. Meet & Greet following. 218 Nott Terrace Sch’dy
  • Autism Action Day at the Via Aquarium from 9:30 to 11 am. Contact Angelo Santabarbara’s office for reservations – no charge.
  • Schenectady Greenmarket at Proctors from 10 am to 2 pm. Entertainment and vendors.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
