  • Schenectady Greenmarket around City Hall – music, food, vendors and more. Fun for the whole family while shopping locally. 10 am to 2 pm
  • Fall Vendor Show at the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons School from 11 am to 3 pm (Sch’dy).
  • Family Food Truck Festival at Rensselaer Esplanade at Noon – The Lost Art Band performing and kids zone with Bounce House
  • Funk n’ Jazz Fest at Gateway Plaza Park across from SCCC Sch’dy. From 1-8 pm. Plenty of bands all day.
  • Fall Bird Hike 7:30 am (Tweens and up). Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road. Call 518-456-0655 to get on the list.
  • 20th Annual Fall Antiques Show at Clifton Park Elks – over 60 vendors from 9 am to 4 pm. (695 MacElroy Rd)
  • Young Musicians Forum Presents Pianists Jingci Liu and Wenting Yu. An Afternoon Concert at Sch’dy Co Public Library at 2 pm to 4 pm with reception to follow.

Sept 23 (Mon)

  • John Marshall: the Man who Made the Supreme Court – Books sandwiched in presentation by Judge Mark Blanchfield at the Sch’dy County Public Library main branch at noon

Sept 24 (Tues)

  • Filming of Schenectady- Capital Region Today in the ADDY Theater at Proctors. 10-11 am. Meet the on-air Guests in person. Plenty of Audience Seating. Arrive before 10 am.
  • Talk by Artist in Residence Radames “juni” Figueroa at the University Art Museum at SUNYA at 1400 Washington Ave Albany. 4:30 pm

Sept 25 (Wed)

  • The White Crow – Reel’s Film Series at the main branch of the Sch’dy Public Library at noon
  • National Ballroom Dance Week Celebration at Colonie Center by Boscov – Two Shows starting at 6:30 pm – Open Dancing before and after each show
  • Girls who Code Club at Schuylerville Public Library from 3:30 to 4:30 for grades 3-5.

Sept 26 (Thurs)

Sept 28 (Sat)

  • Angel Names Annual Memorial Walk at Saratoga Spa State Park (Columbia Pavilion) at Sept 28 from noon to 4 pm
  • Hispanic Heritage Celebration with Toby Love from 6 to 10 pm at the State Capitol Plaza
  • Glenville Oktoberfest at 300 Ma’alwyck Park Road in Glenville from noon to 8 pm. Fun for the whole family
  • Out of Darkness Community Walk at Central Park in Sch’dy. Meet at the Pavilion at noon.
  • Open House at Sch’dy Civic Players from 11 am to 5 pm. Performance by Dave Kitchen from 1-3 pm
  • Inaugural Harvest Festival in Halfmoon Town Park in Clifton Park. From noon to 4 pm. Food, Pony Rides, games and more.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
