  • Spring/Summer Location –Outside Schenectady Greenmarket – around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Music, food, vendors and more.
  • Cimarrón brings Colombian Joropo from the plains of the Orinoco River. The band will perform with Sten & Maria Z. performing at Music Haven in Sch’dy Central Park  –– rain location is a Niskayuna High School  7 pm
  • Big Fez & the Surfmatics performing at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • Grit-N-Whiskey performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs

Aug 13 (Tues)

  • “House-Clock-Walls” Free Kids Movies at the Bow-Tie Cinemas at 10 am
  • Mourning [A] BLKstar and Oshun performing at Freedom Square at 35 Fifth Ave. in N. Troy. 5-8 pm (Music, Food & Art Activities)
  • Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region Filming – 10 to 11 am in the ADDY Theatre at Proctors. Great Guests – meet them all in person. Plenty of audience seating
  • Music Company Orchestra Performing at Charlton Gazebo on Charlton Rd in Charlton from 7 to 8 pm. Outdoors – refreshments.
  • Second Tuesday Tales and Stuff by Story Circle at Pinhead Susan’s in Sch’dy (North Broadway) “Summertime Blues and Passion” 7-9 pm.
  • Jim Gaudel & the Railroad Boys (bluegrass)  performing at Cooks Park in Colonie at 6:30 pm Bring a lawn chair

  • McKrells performing (Celtic) at Lake George ARTs Project – Shepard Park at 7:00 pm
  • Salt-N-Pepa performing from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Capital Concert Series at the NY Capitol’s Plaza.

Aug 15 (Thurs)

  • Trio Lingo performing at Jazz On Jay from noon to 1:30 pm. Sch’dy
  • Big Sky Country performing at the Concerts at the Crossings at 580 Albany Shaker Road in Loudonville from 6-8 pm
  • Thursdays in the Park at Indian Meadows Glenville – either a concert or a movie at 7 pm.  Free Ice Cream

  • Wild Mountain performing Old Time Acoustic Music at the Richmondville Historical Society’s Music at the Mill. (Bunn-Tillapaugh Mill on High St) 6:30 pm

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
