  • Casuarina (Samba from Rio De Janeiro) performs at Music Haven in Sch’dy Central Park – Eduardo de Carvahlo e Foro de Bom will open. – rain location is a Proctors
  • Eribeth Chamber Players (string quartet) at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • Ten Most Wanted performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs
  • Prog Rock Sunday – Alice Frost: Music of YES performing 4 to 8 pm – Riverlink Summer Concert Series at Riverlink Park, Amsterdam.

Jul 16 (Tues)

  • “SING” Free Kids Movies at the Bow-Tie Cinemas at 10 am
  • Martha Redbone Quartet and Girl Blue performing at Freedom Square at 35 Fifth Ave. in N. Troy. 5-8 pm (Music, Food & Art Activities)
  • Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region Filming – 10 to 11 am in the ADDY Theatre at Proctors. Great Guests – meet them all in person. Plenty of audience seating

July 17 (Wed)

  • The Turbans, a band that combines Balkan beats, North African drones and Flamenco fire.Performing at Music Haven in Sch’dy Central Park –– rain location is a Proctors  7 pm (London Based Internantional legends plays music from “manywhere”.)
  • Family Series: Mr. Mike and the Big Red Box of Magic performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs
  • Maria Muldaur Sings the Blues performing at Lake George ARTs Project – Shepard Park at 7:00 pm
  • Baliun with Dark Honey Performing at Rockin’ on the River – Riverfront Park, Downtown Troy from 5-8:30 pm Rain or Shine

  • Disney’s Beauty and the Beast by the Not so Common Players performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs
  • The Route Fifty 5 (brass quintet) at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
