  • Music Company Orchestra at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • Spring/Summer Location — Outside Schenectady Greenmarket – around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Music, food, vendors and more.
  • Neil Diamond Tribute Show  performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs

Jul 2 (Tues)

  • “Dragon” Free Kids Movies at the Bow-Tie Cinemas at 10 am
  • Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region Filming –will not be filmed today (Show was filmed in advance). See you all next week.
  • First Tuesdays Tales and Stuff by Story Circle at Pinhead Susan’s in Sch’dy (North Broadway) “Stories of Patriotism’s Call” 7-9 pm.

Jul 3 (Wed)

  • “Dragon” Free Kids Movies at the Bow-Tie Cinemas at 10 am
  • Joey Thomas Big Band “Salute to America” at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • The Brokenhearted – Tom Petty Tribute with Sky & the Hustlers Performing at Rockin’ on the River – Riverfront Park, Downtown Troy from 5-8:30 pm Rain or Shine
  • Fireworks at the Saratoga Casino. Starts at 9:15 pm. Special perfomances by Madison Vandenburg and a Trackside Concert by Ten Most Wanted.

Jul 4 (Thurs) – Fourth of July

  • Fireworks at the State Capitol in Albany at the Plaza. Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx! Starts at 3 pm.
  • Fireworks at the Rivers – Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater. Tramps Like Us will perform at 7 pm (Springsteen Tribute Band) with Fireworks to follow at 9 pm.
  • Cancelled – Jazz on Jay for this day only — Enjoy your Fourth!

Jul 6 (Sat)

  • Watch Reggie Run (Kids Music) at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • Ambrosia performing at the Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater starting at 6 pm (near Casino)

Jul 7 (Sun)

  • Spring/Summer Location — Outside Schenectady Greenmarket – around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Music, food, vendors and more.
  • Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Cafe Indian music performs at Music Haven in Sch’dy Central Park  –– rain location is a Proctors  7 pm
  • Totally Pitchin’ and Electric City Chorus at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.
  • Hair of the Dog performing at the Performing Arts at the Common (14 Clifton Commons)  7 pm – bring lawn chairs

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
