FIRST IMPRESSIONS, SECOND CHANCES is an extraordinary evening to benefit the Women of the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC). This is our 8th Annual First Impressions, Second Chances Networking Event to raise money for the programs and services of WERC to advance women’s success in the workplace. Participating vendors and other local businesses have donated wonderful raffle prizes to raise additional funds. There will be a Super Raffle Drawing includes great prizes — an iPad, an iPad Mini, a Bose SoundTouch® 10 Wireless Music System, an Amazon Echo, a Printer donated by Repeat Business Systems with Mystery Items donated by CAP COM Federal Credit Union and Garnet River LLC and 10 Gift Bags full of gift cards and items worth over $300 each and more! We will have many winners that night but the biggest winners will be the Women of WERC. Join us and see firsthand the difference your gift is making and the women whose lives you are changing. Mission or Purpose: WERC is a private, not-for-profit organization that works to advance women’s success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence. Since 1988, WERC has provided quality workforce development services to over 7,000 women from both Albany and Rensselaer Counties who have lost their source of income upon the death, divorce, separation, disability, or dislocation of a spouse, or who are single mothers, or left the workforce to take care of an elderly parent. Annually, WERC provides over 2,700 free services to women who need to return to the workforce giving them the resources, computer and career skills training, and the confidence needed to find employment in today’s competitive job market. Note: Ms. Bullett is also a Partner of the Law Firm of Tabner, Ryan and Keniry, LLB.
