  • Halloween Parade at Niskayuna Town Hall from 3:30 to 4:30 pm Cider and donuts for the kids.

Oct 30 (Tues)

  • Magic Show (celebrating National Magic Week) at the Schenectady Today Show In & Around the Capital Region in the ADDY Theatre at Proctors (3rd floor) starting at 10 am. Other informative guests as always.
  • Sensory Night Hike suitable for all ages. 6:30 pm Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center.

Oct 31 (Wed)

  • Happy Halloween
  • On Chesil Beach – noon movie at the main branch of the Sch’dy County Public Library.

Nov 1 (Thurs)

  • Conversation Series with Jean Shin (Collections) at 7 pm at the University Performing Arts Center at 1400 Washington Ave. uptown Campus. For Info (518) 442-3997. Sponsored by the Writers Institute.

Nov 2 (Fri)

  • Morning Meander at 10 am (Adults) – 1.4 mile hike. Meet at the Blueberry Hill West Trailhead #5 – (Pine Bush)
  • Classic Science Fiction Film Festival “Save the Green Planet” and Lecture Series – Classic Science Fiction with Eugene Lin at 7 pm at the LINDA at 339 Central Ave. For Info (518) 442-3997. Sponsored by the Writers Institute.

Nov 3 (Sat)

  • Discover the Pine Bush at 10:30 pm – suitable for all ages. Meet at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center on New Karner Road

Nov 4 (Sun)

  • Schenectady Greenmarket at Proctors 10 am to 2 pm. Music, vendors, food and more.
  • Free orchestral performance at 3 pm at First Reformed Church in Sch’dy. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for Thanksgiving Dinners

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
