Nov 5 (Sun)

  • Daylight Savings Time. Turn your clocks back one hour – in case you forgot!
  • Schenectady Greenmarket at Proctors from 10 am to 2 pm. Meet your friends and explore the market.
  • Upper Catskill String Quartet and New Day Voices will host a free concert at 3 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Washington Ave. in Cobleskill
  • The upper Catskill String Quartet performs Beethoven String Quartet and selections by New Day-Voices of Schoharie county at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cobelskill at 3 pm
  • Holiday Art Fair at Sand Lake Center for the Arts from noon to 4 pm.

Nov 6 (Mon)

  • MS PowerPoint 2013 Basic Class from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Main Branch of the Sch’dy Library. Registration required.
  • Brad Utter from the NYS Museum will discuss “Enterprising Waters: NY Erie Canal, Phase one”. Books Sandwiched in: Sch’dy Main Library at noon
  • Author Lisa Potoar presentation “Pioneering Women of Civil War America. 6:30 pm at the Main Branch of the Sch’dy Public Library

Nov 7 (Tues)

  • Election Day
  • Sch’dy Today Show films at Proctors starting at 10 am. Come early and meet the great guests that join us on the set. Two Performers from West Side Story will be singing on the set.
  • Open Auditions for An Inspector Calls at Sch’dy Civic Players 7:30 pm
  • Frank Robinson reviews Hari’s book “Chasing the Stream” at the Albany Public Library on Washington Ave. at noon.
  • First Tuesday’s Tales and Stuff at Arthurs in the Stockade Section of Sch’dy. Kate Danaher’s Stories of Coming Home. 7-9 pm

Nov 8 (Wed)

  • MS WORD 2013 Getting Started Class from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Main Branch of the Sch’dy Library. Registration required.
  • Franco-Americaine Du NY President will speak at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library on Moe Road at 7 pm.

Nov 9 (Thurs)

  • Open Auditions for An Inspector Calls at Sch’dy Civic Players 7:30 pm

  • Greenmarket inside Proctors 10 am to 2 pm
  • Home Voices: Wanda Burch & John Kenosian Concert at the Arkell Museum starting at 7 pm. Guest Artist Gizella Montanez Case. Erie Blvd in Canajoharie

Nov 11 (Sat)

  • Veterans’ Day – Legal Holiday
  • America Recycles Day starting at 10 am at SCCC Parking log
  • Annual Veterans Day Program at the American Italian Heritage Museum from 11 am to 1 pm. Program to honor Veterans followed by a reception. Admission to the Museum is free for Veterans.
  • Presentations on Yunnan, China Minority groups at Colonie Library from 2 to 5 pm.
  • Great Costume GiveAway Day at Schenectady Light Opera’s Costume shop at 418 Liberty Street from 10 am to 3 pm.

Nov 12 (Sun)

  • Jay Street Marketplace in Schenectady starting at 10 am
  • Stockade-athon 15 K race in downtown Sch’dy.
  • Music Company Orchestra performing at Sch’dy High School at 3 pm (Free will offering to go to SICM)

Through Dec 31 – “Faces and Other Spaces” Exhibition at the Sch’dy Jewish Community Center

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
