            Join us for an afternoon of barks, brews and barbeque on Sunday 9/16 at Wolf Hollow Brewing Company!  Each $50 ticket includes two beers, barbeque buffet, 10 raffle basket tickets and music by Masters of Nostalgia.  Tickets must be purchased in advance at the APF at 53 Maple Avenue in Glenville or by calling 518-374-3944 Ext 113.  All proceeds will benefit the animals at the APF

            Over three days, this Tony-award winning musical follows the hard-working residents in the NYC neighborhood of Washington Heights as they deal with love, identity, racism, hope, and loss. Set to the Latin rhythms and hip-hop lyrics of Lin-Manuel Miranda (creator of Hamilton), this show teaches us the importance of family and what it means to be home.

A vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

Global Photographer – Honduras

Organization: NY/Help

• Mission: The people of Mataderos tribe, Honduras will have an accessible path to a healthy, educated and economically self-sufficient life.  My involvement has been to develop and assist the women of the community setting up a sewing cooperative that will eventually help them to be self-sufficient.  We currently are working to provide sewing machines to 6 of the villages within the tribal area where women who have completed a year-long sewing class live.  These women have learned to use treadle sewing machines and make their own patterns as neither electricity or patterns are available to these women.
