The Full Monty – the REP’s Summer Treat

            Put the sizzle in your summer with the raucous pop-rock-musical that peels away stereotypes and reveals all!  

            The full Monty. It implies nudity, full frontal male nudity. And you’ll get a glimpse of that in the comic musical The Full Monty, but the show is about more than that. It’s about a group of men baring their souls, admitting fragility and finding strength through the desperate, delightful act of striptease.

            While spying on their wives at a “Girls’ Night Out” trip to a male strip club, a group of unemployed Buffalo steelworkers come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that the strength that they find in each other just might give them the individual courage to “let it go.” Based on the cult film of the same name, this ten-time Tony Award® nominee is filled with heart and will keep you wondering (and hoping) right up to the end if these lovable misfits will really pull it off – and go THE FULL MONTY!

               Dominique Dunlap, Graduate Sch’dy HS 2018 Class Afloat 2019 has completed the 9 month course; Nyre Brown is in the Class Afloat for 2019 and Blessin Green will be in the 2019-2020 Class Afloat Class.

  • Mission: Our motto is Traveling the World One Concert at a Time as we bring diverse performing groups to the city of Schenectady during the summer. High quality international and national acts will perform at the Agnes Macdonald Music Haven Stage in Central Park in Schenectady on seven consecutive Sundays as well as additional concerts on specific week days and a film screening and theatre. We seek to provide a cultural experience that allows our audiences to hear or see or even taste (as ethnic fare accompanies different concerts) something that’s different, and beautiful, and carries with it a history. Talented local and international artists are also featured as special guests at each concert.

Guilderland Band Concert Events

            A free concert series for children and adults of all ages, with something for everyone.  Each concert during this season features something special commemorating the Band’s 50th anniversary.

Iroquois Indian Museum

      Treasured Traditions: A Statement of Place & Century & Women of Influence: Each Block a Story.  In addition to the 2 exhibits there are weekend summer dance & artist demonstrations, & their annual Iroquois Arts Festival.

The Museum is a venue for promoting Iroquois art and artists, and a meeting place for all peoples to celebrate Iroquois culture and diversity. As an anthropological institution, it is informed by research on archaeology, history, and the common creative spirit of modern artists and craftspeople.

We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
