“Time Stands Still” focuses on Sarah and James, a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent trying to find happiness in a world that seems to have gone crazy. Theirs is a partnership based on telling the toughest stories, and together making a difference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life.
Civic Players and Capital Area actors featured in Time Stands Still are Jean Carney, Michael Schaefer, David Rook, Laura Graver and Michael Silvia.

Annie Comes to Hubbard Hall

Hubbard Hall & the Cambridge Central School Drama Club present the Broadway Smash Annie!
Annie is a Broadway musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years, setting a record for the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre). It spawned numerous productions in many countries, as well as national tours, and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical’s songs “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life” are among its most popular musical numbers.

Hamilton! The Eddies! Next Season and More at Proctors

Six acts have been announced to represent local sounds at the inaugural Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards, April 14 at Proctors.
The performers represent the wide range of music found throughout the Capital Region, touching on songwriters, hip-hop artists, worldbeat musicians, blues rockers and party bands.
Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra, Bear Grass, Johnny 2 Phones, New York Players, Wyld Blu and Rich Ortiz will appear at the festivities, which will be hosted by musician/comedian Erin Harkes (nominated for Solo or Duo Performer of the Year—Covers Category).

Harry Potter Day at miSci

Are you a muggle trying to escape the routine of everyday life? Are you a wizard or witch looking to return to the wizarding world? No matter your circumstance you should come to “The Science and Wizardry of Harry Potter” presented by miSci. On Saturday, April 13th miSci will transform from a museum to an interactive experience space complete with everything a wizard, young or old, may need to expand on their magical journey.

Walk for Mercy

The “Walk for Mercy” fundraising activity is our annual spring event, having as its theme; “Widening the Circles of Mercy” and is being done in partnership with Maria College which is another sponsored work of the Sisters of Mercy…
“Walk For Mercy” to benefit Circles of Mercy and Maria College’s Student Support Center. Circles of Mercy and Maria College are sponsored ministries of the Sisters of Mercy.
Admission to the event is free… To ensure a successful event, walkers and sponsors are needed. Kindly RSVP by April 2, 2019 by calling Circles of Mercy at 518-462-0899 -or- email us at circlesofmercy@nycap.rr.com.
Registration and Open House takes place at Marian Hall. Walk also supports Maria College’s Frank E. O’Brien, Jr. Student Support Center. There will be Refreshments, Free Walk T-Shirts to the first 50 Walkers, and also several Prize Raffles
