We start filming at 10 am in THE ADDY THEATRE on Tuesday. A live audience is always welcome and there are plenty of seats. You can meet the guests in person and learn more about their projects or even get involved yourself.

Segment ONE
Peter and the Starcatcher at Siena

Peter & The Starcatcher is the critically acclaimed, multi-award winning adaptation of Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson’s 2004 Young Adult imagining of the origins of Peter Pan. The play follows the book’s fanciful creations and looks to answer the burning questions: How did Peter Pan get his name? How did he meet Captain Hook and why are they enemies? Who are Tinkerbell, Wendy and the Lost Boys, and where did they come from? And most importantly, how did he come to fly and why does he never want to grow up? The play uses the techniques of Story Theatre to deliver this picaresque tale of derring-do creating capsizing galleons, below decks intrigue, romance and mutiny and finally an exotic island populated by a fearsome tribe schooled in Italian cooking, a ferocious crocodile and perhaps a chorus line of mermaids. Telling this story with only household implements and tools emphasizes the line highlighted in the play “To have faith is to have wings” by asking the audience to suspend their disbelief and make the leap with their imaginations.

And Then There Were None – An Agatha Christie Mystery

The Agatha Christie murder mystery, And Then There Were None – Ten strangers are summoned to the remote Soldier Island, off the coast of Devon, England. All the guests have in common is a seemingly wicked past they are unwilling to reveal and a secret that will mark each of them for murder, in accordance with a sinister nursery rhyme.

Peaceful Acres Horses

Peaceful Acres Horses is a volunteer run equine welfare organization, our volunteers make Life Possible for over 60 rescued horses, minis, donkeys and mules. We are recruiting Volunteer CareGivers to join our team at our farm located in Schenectady County. Volunteers must be 18 years old or older. Horse Care Experience is helpful but not necessary.

- Mission: Peaceful Acres Horses is a not for profit equine welfare organization that offers equine rescue, rehabilitation, retirement and adoption placement opportunities to our Rescued Equine Residents. Peaceful Acres Horses offers equine assisted learning and empowerment programs for children and adults, through our Horse and Donkey Hugs Program and Rejuvenation Retreats.

Lisbeth Calandrino is a nationally recognized speaker. She has been a consultant to businesses in the flooring industry for over 20 years. Her specialties are sales and customer service training. She was recently named one of the “Top Ten Influencers in the Floor Covering Industry” for Floor Covering News.
I consult with companies that are interested in creating plans to obtain more customers, understanding retail climate, predicting trends and what businesses can do to improve their customer base and bottom line. My particular specialty is floor covering.

Changes in BEAT the SNOW Concert Series

There are two exciting changes to the Beat the Snow Concert Series over the next few weeks. Beat the Snow Concerts are the winter music series sponsored by the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library. On Sunday, March 17 Nachiko Maekane, Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at SUNYSchenectady will be bringing two of her students and two marimbas to the McChesney Room at 2:30. This is to replace our jazz duet for the day. This will be our first marimba events. The Musicians of Ma”alwyck will perform on Palm Sunday, April 14 at 2:30. This is to replace the concert which was snowed out earlier.
