Play with your Food is a night of laughter and great food.

Playwright Joe Starzyk directs and performs (along with a few talented actors) 3 plays that will make you laugh so hard you might find a few tears in your eyes.

Our meal choices include Chicken with a Pale Ale Jus Lie served with veggies and potato, Pan Seared Asparagus and mashed potatoes, or a Vegetable Napoleon.

Events at Empire State Aerosciences Museum

Russian Winter Festival

• Yuri Naumkin, Artistic Director Russian Drama Studio

The festival’s headliner is a folk trio, “Moscow Nights,” from North Carolina. The repertoire is centered on masterpieces of Russian folklore and represents the diversity of the culture, ranging from gently humorous songs to elaborate lyrical suites. Lilting balalaikas, dynamic bayan accordion, unique Trashotky & Loshky and humorous dances combine for an exhilarating and educational performance for audiences of all ages!

More than 50 entertainers will be engaged in the non-stop performances during the Grand Finale: Dancers Vladimir Nikitin and Dinara Subaeva, Ensemble Barynya from NYC present the pulsating dance numbers drawn from Russian, Cossack, Siberian, Nanai, Ukrainian, Roma Gypsy and Jewish traditional dancing. The Yale Russian Chorus is a tenor-bass a cappella choral ensemble specializing in sacred and secular Slavic choral music.  The Winners of Tchaikovsky Music Competition are young Capital Region musicians playing piano and violin, and vocalists. The Winners of Russian Poetry Recital Contest—native speakers and non-native speakers, children and adults—recite, in Russian, one poem of their choice. Two local dance studios represent Ballroom Dancing with Russian Flair: Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Latham, NY, and Dance Fire Studio of Niskayuna, NY.

At the festival the traditional Russian menu includes blini (Russian pancakes), golubtsy (stuffed cabbage), oven-baked piroshki, shashlik (Russian Shish Kebab) and Russian beer Baltika.

Underground Railroad History Project

In our increasingly polarized society, the symbol of the 19th century Underground Railroad movement and its abolition activists challenges us to publicly reflect and act upon the legacy of the institution of slavery in our contemporary times. LibertyCon 2018 looks to new research about the past to inform how we understand and respond to our present as we move forward together for a better tomorrow.

• Mission: Underground Railroad History Project researches and preserves the local and national history of the anti-slavery and Underground Railroad movements, their international connections, and their legacies to later struggles; it engages in public education and dialogue about these movements and their relevance to modern society.

To Life! – The Pink Zone Game

• Eileen Howe Bird, Executive Director

Siena College and To Life! will host the Pink Zone Celebration of Survivorship on Friday, February 23^rd at Siena College. The Siena Women’s Basketball Team will host Canisius College. Proceeds from the game will support breast cancer programs and services offered through To Life! Additional information and tickets available through website or by calling office.

To Life’s Support group provides a safe place to share feelings and information that will remain confidential. This group meets monthly, serving English and Spanish speaking attendees.  Group is open to women facing breast cancer. Additional information and available through website or by calling the office at 518-439-5975.

• Mission: To educate our community about breast cancer detection, treatments and related health matters; and provide support services to breast cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends.
