JJ Lussier Performing – Tribute to Everly Brothers

John Lussier & Jared Lussier

            John and Jared, 20 yr old twins, have been singing on stage since they were 4 yrs old. Their first performance was at the Center for Disabilities CP Telethon and they have been singing throughout the Capital Region ever since. Their tight twin-harmonies bring The Everly Brothers songs forward to the present and the memories back in time. Their most recent Venues include Proctors Theater, The Log Cabin

JJ LUSSIER, The Everly Brothers Tribute and more including 50’s & 60’s music. Their most recent performances include a fundraiser and awareness for CASA Schenectady, events for GE Retirees Assoc., GE Quarter Century Club, and GE Women’s Assoc as well as performances at Proctors Theater and The Log Cabin, Holyoke, MA through Horizon Tours.

12^th Annual Festival of Trees

            Join the celebration On Dec. 1 for the Night of Lights and Festival of Trees Sneak Preview. Enjoy Desserts Under the Tree on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 pm at 32 & 44 Washington Ave. in the Stockade.

Our Festival of Trees is back, lighting up Schenectady! This year, we’re kicking off the season with the Night of Lights, December 1, a special evening of radiant fir trees, live music, great food & cocktails and more. Visit both locations to see the tree!

It’s a Wonderful Night Event for Sch’dy Day Nursery

            Neil and Jane Golub, long-time supporters of Schenectady Day Nursery (SDN) are the honorary chairs of “It’s a Wonderful Night”, a party planned for Thursday, December 7 to celebrate SDN’s 115^th birthday. The event, set for 6-9 PM at Key Hall in Proctors Arcade, will feature live music by “Kevin Green with Doug Chilton and Friends” , Hors D’oeuvre Reception with sparkling Prosecco, sit down dinner by Mazzone Hospitality, a wine pull and a live auction hosted by LeGrande Serras. There will be a cash bar and complimentary red and white wines at each table. A special prize has been donated by Sondra’s Fine Jewelry.

Two exceptional community partners and SDN supporters, Zonta of Schenectady and Dawn Neville will be honored at the party. Zonta of Schenectady is a community service group dedicated to improving the lives of women and their children through many very worthy initiatives. Dawn Neville is the parent of two children enrolled at SDN, and an exceptional volunteer who, with the support of her employer, the Creative Advantage, donates many hours of professional services to the child care center.

• Mission: The Schenectady Day Nursery, located at 25 Lafayette Street Schenectady, was formed in 1902 by a group of innovative community members who saw a need in Schenectady for progressive and comprehensive childcare.  SDN strives to continue the founders’ vision of high quality, affordable daycare and early childhood education for the children of working families. In a time of skyrocketing childcare costs, families pay tuition on a sliding scale commensurate with their ability to pay. Fund raising is an essential part of keeping fees affordable.
