Below you will find listings for our interesting on-air guests for the next four weeks.  Check out the lists below for our great variety of topics.  We start filming at 10 am in THE ADDY THEATRE on Tuesday. A live audience is always welcome and there are plenty of seats. You can meet the guests in person and learn more about their projects or even get involved yourself.

The Annual Carrot Festival

Hilary Fink, Festival Chair; Madison VanDenburg, Performer/American Idol 3rd Place; Jessica Shea (and “friends”), Owner – Reptile Adventures

            A fall festival featuring:  vendors and crafters, food, carrot cake (of course!), a community service tent, fresh produce for sale, an extensive children’s area (including a touch-a-truck-and-more area), a pet adoption clinic, and live entertainment throughout the day featuring an afternoon concert by The Refrigerators and a performance by 2019 American Idol runner-up Madison VanDenburg.  Madison has a new release, What Am I Looking For” coming out on August 30th.

Funk n’ JazzFest Coming Up!

            Schenectady County Funk n’ Jazz Festival is a FREE family friendly music event featuring regional and local musical acts influence by funk and/or jazz.
            Enjoy a day or live music, food, drinks, craft vendors along with pop up art demos and kids activities.
            Regional funk and jazz acts will perform on the WEQX Main Stage including Michael Benedict Jazz Vibes, Bryan Brundige and his Piggly Wigglies, Hanzolo, and our headliner Jocamo. Local jazz combos from area colleges and high schools will perform on our Second Stage.

Segment FOUR

Little Italy Street Festival

Doreen Ditoro, Co-Chair and Roe Angerami, Co-Chair

            The 14th Annual Street Fest will be held on September 7, 2019. Italian music on the South Stage, featuring Linda Ezzo Jones, Ed Clifford and TS Ensemble. Appearing on the Main Stage will be Grand Central Station, Happy Daze and 2096 and DJ Eddie all day. 

            Kids rides, free animal balloons and kids game, sponsored by Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home. 

            Great Italian food, by Babcia’s Kitchen, Civitello’s, Cornell’s, Hunter’s on Jay, More Perreca’s and Perreca’s.  Doreen Ditoro is from Rossi and Ditoro Funeral Home and Roie Angerami is from Civitello’s Italian Pastry Shoppe

Segment SIX

A Place for Jazz – Concert Series

Tim Coakley, Event Organizer

          Continuing series started in 1987 by Butch Conn, with the goal of presenting the best jazz performers in an acoustically superior, relaxed setting. Guest musicians have always praised the venue for its sound, and for the attentive audiences. 

          Tim Coakley has been doing the Tim Coakley Jazz Radio Show on WAMC since 1987. You can hear him at 11 pm on Saturday nights.
