Jun 16 (Sun) – Happy Father’s Day

  • Spring/Summer Location — Outside Schenectady Greenmarket – around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Music, food, vendors and more.
  • Double Feature movie: Hamilton’s Albany (2016) & Hamilton’s America (2016) at Proctors at 2 pm and 5 pm.  Tickets required even though it is a free event. www.Proctors.org
  • Wolf Drummers – community drumming (bring your own drums) 5 to 6:30 pm at The Studio in Greenfield (165 Wilton Rd)

June 17 (Mon)

  • Firefly Full Moon Hike at 8:30 pm. Suitable for tweens and above. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center 195 New Karner Road Albany
  • Shenanigans performing at the Town of Rotterdam Summer 2019 Summer Concerts at the Rotterdam Senior Center (2639 Hamburg St) 7 pm (also sponsored by the Sch’dy Amsterdam Musical Union)

June 18 (Tues)

  • Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region Filming – 10 to 11 am in the ADDY Theatre at Proctors. Great Guests – meet them all in person. Plenty of audience seating
  • Malcolm Kogut performing — Free Organ Concert Series at Proctors at Noon — a chorus will be performing as well.
  • Presentation by Frank Robinson on Kurt Anderson’s Book “Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire”. Noon at Albany Public Library, 161 Washington Ave.  Refreshments.

Jun 19 (Wed)

  • “On the Basis of Sex” at noon at the Sch’dy Public Library main branch.
  • Music Company Orchestra performs at Calvary Episcopal Church (85 Lake Hill Rd in Burnt Hills) from 6:30 to 7:30 pm – on the lawn.
  • SGHS Jazz Band & Jazz Combo at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.

Jun 20 (Thurs)

  • Wee B 3 performing at Jazz On Jay from noon to 1:30 pm. Sch’dy
  • Science Lecture Series: Wildlife Camera Trapping in the APBP. Refreshments at 6:30 pm Lecture at 7 pm. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road Albany

  • Women’s Community Leadership Network – Women Supporting Women: Leslie Neustadt (retired Attorney) at noon at Proctors. Meet in Guild Room
  • Evening Solstice Stroll suitable for tweens and above. 7:30 pm Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Rd Albany

Jun 22 (Sat)

  • Biking Along the Boulevard “Dexter Dash” Event. From 10 to 12:30 pm at Dexter Street in Niskayuna. Live Music, Free bike maintenance, giveaways & group rides. “Grand Boulevard Bike Lane” — Bikes available.  Free helmets while they last.
  • “2096” (Classic and Contemporary Rock) at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.

June 23 (Sun)

  • Wildflower Walk for Kids starting at 1 pm – Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road Albany NY 1 mile walk
  • SUNY Schenectady Jazz Faculty Combo at 7 pm at Freedom Park in Scotia on the Mohawk Ave. Bring lawn chairs.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
