Sept 2 (Sun)

  • Schenectady Greenmarket around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm – Agape Blues will perform at noon
  • Sch’dy Guyana Day at Grout Park starting at 9:30 am
  • Iroquois Indian Festival – Museum at Howes Cave from 10 am to 5 pm

Sept 3 (Mon)

  • Celebrating Labor Day – Solidarity Picnic at Cook Park
  • Nature Journaling at 1 pm at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center.

Sept 4 (Tues)

  • Schenectady Today Show filming at 10 am in the ADDY Theatre at Proctors (3rd floor). Meet the guests in person. Plenty of theater seating.

Sept 5 (Wed)

  • Conversation Series with Bibbe Hansen (Performance Artist) at 7 pm at the University Art Museum at 1400 Washington Ave. uptown Campus. For Info (518) 442-3997.
  • Schenectady Job Fair at Proctors (GE Theatre and Key Hall). Spruce up your resume and meet potential employers from 10 am to 4 pm.

  • Pine Bush Pups: Naturalist Walk at 10 am (ages under 6) Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center. New Karner Road.

Sept 7 (Fri)

  • Morning Meander for Adults at 10 am. Woodlawn Preserve Trailhead on Gifford Road in Schenectady (sponsored by Albany Pine Bush)
  • Greek Festival opens at Hellenic Center 510 Liberty Street, Schenectady

Sept 8 (Sat)

  • Little Italy Street Fest on North Jay St. Sch’dy from noon to 9 pm. Food, drink, kids’ midway, crafts, music and even comedy!  Enjoy the experience.
  • Stockade Villagers’ Outdoor Art Show from 10 am to 4 pm. N Ferry St. & Front St. Sch’dy. Rain Date is Sept 9 from noon to 4 pm.
  • Greek Festival at 510 Liberty St. Sch’dy – Hellenic Center
  • Chinese Paper Cutting Workshop – Clifton Park Public Library at 3 pm given by Yue Jiamlin of RPI

We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
