  • Schenectady Greenmarket around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm
  • Music at the Mill: John Scarpulla Band at Historic Bunn-Tillapaugh Mill in Richmondville.
  • Family Nature journaling suitable for all ages. 10 am. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 196 New Karner Road

Sept 10 (Mon)

  • Barn Stories: Reflections from a Saratoga Co. Horse Farm reviewed by the author, Mary Cuffe Perez. Books Sandwiched in at noon at the Sch’dy Co. Public Library Main Branch

Sept 11 (Tues)

  • Rosh Hashanah (ends in the evening)
  • Final Four Big Reveal – One County One book selection from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the main branch of the Sch’dy County Library – Clinton St. Light refreshments.
  • “Girl in Transition” — Book Discussion at 2 pm in the Swanker Board Room of the Sch’dy Public Library
  • Forgettable Four Performing on our Stage — Schenectady Today Show films at The ADDY at Proctors (third floor) at 10 am. Plenty of theater seating.
  • Ned Spain and Guests performing — Free Organ Concert Series at Proctors at Noon

Sept 12 (Wed)

  • Children’s Picture Books Exhibit at Montessori Magnet School in Albany at 6:30 pm (part of Chinese Cultural Festival)
  • “A Wrinkle in Time” — Reels at Noon – Film Series at Sch’dy Public Library – main branch

Sept 13 (Thurs)

  • Grand opening of Collaboratory in Albany’s South End at 4 Lincoln Square. 11 am. Health assessments and more for the community.
  • Jammin’ on Jay with Grand Central Station from 6 to 9:30 pm (Schenectady)

Sept 15 (Sat)

  • Lake George Jazz Festival – Shepard Park from 1 – 9 pm
  • Children’s Picture Book exhibit at Albany Pin Hill Library from 1 to 4:30 pm (part of Chinese Cultural Festival)
  • Niska-Day Rescheduled Fireworks at 8:30 pm at the Zenner Road Soccer Fields – these will follow the 10th Annual Nisky Fall Fun Run

Sept 16 (Sun)

  • Lake George Jazz Festival – Shepard Park from 1 – 6 pm
  • Hudson Mohawk Bird Club Fall Bird Hike from 7:30 am to noon. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center. Adults.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
