May 19 (Sun)

  • Spring/Summer Location — Outside Schenectady Greenmarket – around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Music, food, vendors and more.

May 20 (Mon)

  • Vegan Wellness and Lifestyle Guide, Nicole Ariciello will teach easy, healthy lunches and dinners at 6 pm. at the Main Branch of the Sch’dy Co Public Library.

May 21 (Tues)

  • Derrick Horton and the Jay St Band Performing on Sch’dy Today In & Around the Capital Region along with other informative guests. Filming starts at 10 am
  • Awards presented at the Capitol at noon – Older NYS residents from each county

May 22 (Wed)

  • “If Beale Street Could Talk” at noon at the Sch’dy Public Library main branch.
  • Jewish Holocaust Memorial Community Conversations at 7 pm at Niskayuna High School’s Little Theater.

May 23 (Thurs)

  • Early Bird Show – Out of Rushmore Show at 1 pm (see description below)
  • “Out of Rushmore Show” Performance by Lou DelBianco, storyteller and musician. He will portray his grandfather, Luigi Del Bianco and tell his unique contribution to the carving of our nations’ greatest memorials, Mount Rushmore. American Italian Heritage Museum on Central Ave. 7:00 pm

May 25 (Sat)

  • Karner Blue Butterfly Walk at 11 am. Suitable for ages 6 and above. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road Albany

May 26 (Sun)

  • May 3 through 19 – Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition at the University Art Museum (SUNYA) 1400 Washington Ave. Albany
  • May 1 through May 31 at the Union College Mandiville Gallery. “A Decolonial Atlas: Strategies in Contemporary Art of the Americas” 10 am.
  • May through August – One Man Show – Vince Forte at Niskayuna Senior Center at 2682 Aqueduct Rd. Sch’dy.

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
