  • Lake George Jazz Festival – Shepard Park from 1 – 6 pm
  • Saratoga Native American Festival at the National Museum of Dance at 99 South Broadway from 10 am to 7 pm.
  • Hudson Mohawk Bird Club Fall Bird Hike from 7:30 am to noon. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center. Adults.
  • Schenectady Greenmarket around City Hall from 10 am to 2 pm – Music, food, vendors, local produce and foods.

Sept 17 (Mon)

  • The Rogues will be performing from 2-5 pm at the Rivers Casino
  • The Odyssey of a War Orphan – Books Sandwiched in at noon at the Sch’dy Public Library main branch.

Sept 18 (Tues)

  • Schenectady Today Show films at The ADDY at Proctors (third floor) at 10 am. Plenty of theater seating. Six informative segments with special guests.
  • Presentation by Author David Pietrusza on his latest book “TR’s Last War: Theodore Roosevelt, the Great War & a Journey of Triumph and Tragedy at Cooperstown Village Library at 22 Main ST. in Cooperstown. 7 pm.

Sept 19 (Wed)

  • Yom Kipper
  • “Love, Simon” — Reels at Noon – Film Series at Sch’dy Public Library – main branch
  • Presentation by Author David Pietrusza on his latest book “TR’s Last War: Theodore Roosevelt, the Great War & a Journey of Triumph and Tragedy at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls at 251 Glen St. in Glens Falls. 6:30 pm.

Sept 20 (Thurs)

  • Science Lecture Series: Using aquatic macroinvertebrates as indicators of ecosystem health. 7 pm. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center on New Karner Road.

  • Battle of the Bands in Sch’dy – 6 pm at Jay St. Pedestrian Walkway – Featuring 2017 winner “Bendt”

  • Autumn Equinox Hike at 1 pm. Suitable for all age. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center on New Karner Road.

Sept 23 (Sun)

  • Flint House Fall Festival from 11 am to 3 pm. Scotia. Musicians of Ma’alwyck will perform at 1:30 pm. Bring a chair & picnic and enjoy the event.
  • Staged Reading of “Three Viewings” at 2:30 pm at Sch’dy Civic Players in the Stockade (donations accepted). Open seating.
  • Walk for RITA Annual Out of Darkness Walk at 9 am in Saratoga
  • Children’s Picture Book exhibit at Capital District Chinese School Colonie Library from 1 to 4:30 pm (part of Chinese Cultural Festival)

We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
