  • Chinese New Year Celebration Starts
  • Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region is filmed at Proctor’s Addy Theatre at 10 am.  Plenty of audience seating.  Meet the on-air guests in person.
  • Lecture by Oliver Wasow, Photographer, on his book “Portraits: Friends, Enemies and Strangers”. 4:30 pm at the NYS University Art Museum – 1400 Washington Ave. Albany

Feb 6 (Wed)

  • The Color Purple – Free Film series in McChesney Road at Sch’dy County Public Library at noon
  • “Climate Change Litigation in the Age of Trump” Guest Speaker and discussion at Nott Memorial at Union College. 7 pm
  • Winter’s Eve Nature Journaling from 6-8 pm. Suitable for tweens and adults. Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road
  • Art, Women, Race, Class – Reading group meets at the University Art Museum at SUNYA every Wednesday from Feb 6 to Apr 3 (Noon to 1 pm) Open to the public

Regular guests include Representatives from the Animal Protective Foundation; faculty from the various area institutions of higher learning discussing health and community issues; Representatives from City, County and State agencies; actors and directors from the theREP, Proctors Theatre, Circle Theatre Players at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera, Albany Civic Players, Classic Theater Guild, and many other area theatrical groups; Tax Specialists from the Internal Revenue Service (during tax season); Representatives from Schenectady County Library; area museums including miSci & ESAM and many area non-profit organizations. We also try to highlight local artists and musicians whenever possible.
